For singer Cindy Lopez, the spark for entrepreneurship and her artistic career was deeply rooted in family inspiration. Growing up watching her mother study and graduate in Theater provided a formative environment that ignited her passion for the arts. From a young age, Lopez immersed herself in the world of music, dance, and theater, culminating in her graduation as an Art Instructor specializing in Dance. Yet, it was the music that truly filled the voids she felt.

After years of teaching, Lopez bravely decided to leave her hometown to test her luck in a new province. This step brought significant challenges. She felt a profound sense of inexperience compared to the established professionals she encountered, feeling like "a rabbit among so many wolves." She faced destructive criticism, which sometimes brought her to tears, coupled with the fear of the unknown, a small repertoire, and the stress of singing alongside seasoned, highly trained musicians.
To overcome these hurdles, Lopez chose determination. She decided to "give the best of myself, that every beginning is difficult, that I had to prove to myself that this is what I wanted to be no matter how hard the road was."
A pivotal moment that marked a clear before-and-after in her trajectory occurred during an orchestra level assessment in Cuba. A judge publicly humiliated her, questioning her musical ability and stating she should quit if she couldn't reach higher notes. Devastated, Lopez fled, but to her surprise, many fellow musicians and even some jury members followed her, offering words of encouragement. They dismissed the judge’s critique as an "exaggerated attack" and urged her to move forward. This show of support proved prophetic, opening new doors that led her to work with supportive musicians before eventually moving to the United States.
Upon arriving in the US, her appearance on the television program "Tengo Talento Mucho Talento" became her most significant professional achievement. Reaching the semi-finals, facing a new challenge, and performing before thousands of people was a defining moment. "People recognized me on the street and took photos with me... That filled my heart with pride and gratitude," she shares.
For Lopez, the impact of her art is seeing her audience smile or cry thanks to her interpretation. She loves creating memories with people and feels privileged to transmit a piece of herself through music, recalling a memorable time in Cuba where she sang to hospitalized pregnant women and saw many moved to tears.
Looking ahead, Lopez has a new creative focus: she wants to dedicate herself to writing for other artists. Her ultimate goal is to hear artists she admires, such as Pablo Alborán, sing one of her songs, sharing her lyrics with the world.
